Behavior Chart FREEBIE
I FINALLY made a new behavior chart because my last one was falling apart. I had a "card" system before this because I was in a rush before school started and needed to get something together quickly. I love this new chart because gives students the opportunity to come back from bad behavior and even allows them to move up for positive reinforcement. It is simple yet effective. It can be used with clothes pins as shown, or with magnets on a board. All you have to do is cut it out, laminate, and put it together. You can punch holes and use binder rings or use ribbon to connect the pieces together. I hope you enjoy this freebie and get as much use out of it as I have! Click HERE to snag this freebie!

Do you have anything specific you'd like to know about it?
DeleteThe way I use it in my room is:
Everyone starts on blue (ready to learn). If I catch someone doing something good, they move their clip up to purple (great job) and get a positive note sent home. This also works well when students are off task. If I can find someone that is doing what they are supposed to and move them up to purple, the others usually straighten up quickly. If someone is not following the rules, they are given a warning and then they move their clip down to green (and down again for each time they misbehave after that). The consequences for each color are listed on the chart. If a student does something "big" or serious, they can move their clips down more than one space. If I can see a student that has moved their clip down is trying to improve their behavior, I let them move their clip back up. The kids record the color they are on in their take home folders at the end of the day so that their parents are informed on their behavior.
I hope this helps you understand a little more about it. Let me know if you have any more questions. =)
